It's a safe and secure way to back up your contact details and, if your phone is compatible, your calendar entries, tasks and notes. These are stored on T-Mobile's network and can be downloaded to a new phone if you upgrade or lose your current one. You can also manage these details on the web by logging in to My T-Mobile. If you use a supported email client you can back up your email contacts as well, and copy them to your phone if you choose. If you sync from My Phonebook Backup to Outlook all information, except Mobile (personal) and Mobile (work) numbers, will be synced.
There are different ways to access your email on your phone:
Internet email - Simply open up web'n'walk and browse to your internet-based email account, for example, Hotmail or Gmail, and access your email like you do normally.
Check email (also called 'pull email') - This is when you set up your phone so it checks your email as often as you tell it to. You can do this with most email accounts (supporting POP3 and IMAP4) but unfortunately it's not available to Hotmail users. Find out more about setting up check email
Instant Email - Emails are pushed to your phone as they arrive in your inbox. If you have a compatible handset you can get instant email for £3.50 per month. Find out more about Instant Email
All you need to do is send a picture message to yourself! Or to a friend who's received a picture message before. Once you've done this, you'll receive a 'Welcome' picture message from T-Mobile which means you're all set up and ready to start messaging.
If you don't receive a 'Welcome' picture message from us, it probably means your phone doesn't have the right settings. Don't panic! We can text the settings you need straight to your phone. Get your settings sent by text.
If you are a pay monthly customer with a compatible handset then you should be able to use your phone as a modem.
