About Mobile Broadband

What coverage can you expect from Mobile Broadband?

Our mobile broadband network is really fast - most people will get speeds between 1 and 2Mbps - perfect for emailing or checking Facebook in double-quick time. A bit like with a mobile phone, the speed you'll get depends on things like your signal strength and location.

We continually test and improve our network to make sure you're getting the best mobile broadband experience in the UK.

Surf all you want and never pay more than your agreed price plan

Our great value Mobile Broadband price plans give you either monthly or daily access to superfast internet on the move. And our fair use policy means you won't get any nasty surprises with pricey run-on rates.

No hidden charges or run on rates at all. Ever.

Here at T-Mobile, we understand that everyone goes over their limits sometimes, so if you exceed your price plan's fair use amount we promise not to sneak extra charges onto your bill.

Other mobile networks charge sky-high run-on rates, which would burn a serious hole in your pocket. We won't charge you anything, which makes our plans fantastic value.

Find out more about our Fair Use Policy

Why do we have a fair use policy?

We want you to enjoy surfing the internet, and our fair use policy is there to make sure you have the best experience. There might be some customers who use so much data that it affects the quality of everyone else's surfing. We also want to make sure everyone gets the same value from their chosen price plan. This is why our fair use policy sets a very generous usage guideline.

So to make sure everything is running smoothly, we'll keep an eye on how much you use your mobile broadband each month.

What happens if I exceed the fair use policy?.

If you exceed our fair use policy, you can still use the internet for the things you love most - like email, Facebook and news sites - and we won't charge you any extra. But we may restrict video streaming, peer-to-peer downloading and other things that affect other people's use of the internet at peak times. You can still use sites like Google and Facebook and email friends whenever. And you can still do the other stuff at off-peak times.

So this is why we have a fair use policy and why you'll see asterisks on some of our communications.
